Green Film Series: An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power

Montclair’s office of Environmental Affairs and Community Green proudly present the 81st screening of their Green Film Series tonight, Thursday, August 17, at 7:40 p.m. at the Clairidge Theater, 486 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, 07042.

For the first time, this month’s Green Film will not be shown at the Library. Instead, we are offering a deep discount to a first-run feature film: “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power”. Tickets for Green Film Series participants will be just $5.00 (cash only). Please arrive on time to purchase your ticket and find your seat for the 7:40pm screening.
We are excited to invite you to the follow-up to the Oscar-winning 2006 documentary that brought climate change into the heart of popular culture. Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy.

This riveting and rousing next step shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution.
The film shows Gore’s work with fellow environmentalists, researchers, business people, and politicians, and also details his behind-the-scenes efforts at the UN’s 2015 Climate Change Conference, where the groundbreaking Paris Agreement was negotiated. He pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.

Bring the family, a neighbor, or a good friend for this important documentary. For further questions, please contact Marnie at marnievyff@gmail.com or the office of Environmental Affairs at 973-509-5721, or grussell@montclairnjusa.org.
